We had the good fortune of connecting with Kish Clark and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kish, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I felt like I needed to start my podcast to change the narrative behind being single. I felt like it was a purpose. Something that needed to happen to get a better understanding of ourselves and why we should start there before ever getting into a relationship with someone.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m a single mother of 3 beautiful children. I’m a full-time banker but I’m the owner of the brand Kish. I make waist beads, body butters, and candles. I also love to paint abstract art and I’m the artistic creator behind 2 Queens 1 Truth. Being Artistic is me. It’s not easy jungling everything but it’s definitely worth it. I want to teach my kids that anything is possible. All you have to do is put in the work. Whenever it’s a passion of yours, there’s going to be a drive within you. There are challenges in learning new programs and making time to study your crafts. But it’s a disservice to yourself if you don’t do it. 2 Queens 1 Truth is a purpose of mine. So I don’t mind investing time to grow in this field. I believe our message is something that needs to be heard.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take her to a bunch of art shows, farmers markets, live band concerts at small venues, and nature walks. And if there’s enough time we would take an art class or afro dance class. I’m a big people watcher. That’s my favorite thing to do. I love being around good vibes and watching people enjoy themselves.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Dr. Myles Monroe and Rebecca “As’u’fa Scott. Myles Monroe teachings gave me the courage to tap into my gifts. Rebecca is a dear friend of mine who taught me to go within myself to get closer to God and to tap into my own power. To understand myself as a spiritual being outside of my human body. I’m also a big fan of the authors Jen Sincero and Don Miguel Ruiz just to name a couple.
