We had the good fortune of connecting with Kira Fontana and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kira, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I feel I was given a vision for Kingdom Sound, and it involved creating amazing music that has a positive impact on our culture and glorifies God. I had worked in the music industry in Los Angeles for over a decade, and grew disillusioned with much of the industry and the lyrical content in many pop songs. They just seemed to encourage young people to be self-destructive, and I didn’t feel that was healthy for our society. I wanted to see the same major label quality music being made, with new messages that uplift and inspire.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m most excited about making amazing music with gifted artists who want to use their voices to change the world for the better. Music is such a powerful way to reach people and give them hope in a world that so needs it right now.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Alpha USA is an amazing organization that inspired me a great deal. They do fantastic work sharing the gospel across the world through a series of dinner conversations. Meeting other Christians who were passionate about living out their faith in the community had a big impact on me.
