We had the good fortune of connecting with Kimberly Armstrong and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kimberly, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I think that one of the most important factors behind my success and the success of my brand would be my family and their unwavering support. Persistence would be a very close 2nd.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I make gourmet custom chocolate pretzels. I am really proud of how much I have grown, not just as an artist, but as a business owner too. It’s not been easy to get to where I am today, but I am blessed to be here. For those that don’t know our origin story my business began out of a need while my mother was hospitalized with a rare autoimmune disorder. I needed a way to be at the hospital with her, be there for both of my kids and make money. Posh Pretzels of Frisco was born. As the owner and sole employee I have had to temporarily close down a couple of times to be able to focus on my own health. I am so very proud of how far I have come in my business. I went from a small business in Texas to one that now ships products all over the US. I want people to know that my talent and creativity set me apart from others that do what I do. I really want each pretzel to represent whatever theme, holiday or gift is being created for my customers. My brand stands out in both the quality of the taste, but also in the presentation of the product.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost, I want to thank my family. They have always had unwavering support from the start. My incredible kids have helped me prep for vendor events and even attended some of them with me and helped me sale. My amazing boyfriend, who reminds me to eat and that I can do anything. My wonderful mom, no matter what I am doing supports me. The support of all of them is beyond words for how grateful I am for each and everyone of them. I would also like to give a shout-out to the owner of Joy in the Breakroom. We began our businesses the same year and we have grown together as business women and friends. She never hesitates to include my products in her creations. I am beyond blessed and grateful to have all of these amazing people in my life.
