Meet Keyaira Braxton | Entreprenuer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Keyaira Braxton and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Keyaira, how does your business help the community?
Jo Baby’s is about more than food. – it’s about legacy and community.
Our Core Values are as follows:
• Love: Cooking with care and compassion.
• Excellence: Preparing meals with outstanding quality.
• Impact: Serving communities with purpose and positive influence.
• Quality: Providing the highest standards in ingredients and service.
Jo Baby’s will schedule regular visits to food deserts in the Dallas area, where access to healthy affordable food is limited. “Food Desert Days” will offer discounted meals, fresh produce, and nutrition education.
What should our readers know about your business?
At Jo Baby’s LLC, our mission is to serve food that nourishes both the body and soul, providing comfort, love, and quality of life through every meal. We are committed to making nutritious food accessible to all, especially in underserved areas experiencing food insecurity. Our goal is to create lasting community impact by serving wholesome meals, educating on balanced nutrition, and advocating for healthier food choices. The nostalgic school bus-inspired design, paired with a cafeteria-style menu – sets us apart from other food trucks. I am most excited about the impact in the community and feeding people.
After 10 years in corporate and pursing post-secondary education, I decided it was time to build my own business. No, it has not been easy at all. So many times I have wanted to give up honestly.
The lessons:
1. Keep going and remain persistent.
2. Do your research.
3. Have faith in yourself and God.
4. The support wont always come from who you expect it to come from.
I want the world to know I am determined to make an impact in the world no matter how big or small it will be. Also, God blessed my hands to cook very great meals.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would check out:
1. Cedar Ridge Preserve (hike)
2. Dallas Arboretum (scenery)
3. Lake Ray Hubbard in Rockwall (eat)
4. Dallas Farmers Market (eat and shopping)
5. Pangea (brunch)
6. Paparazzi (Tues R&B nights and Dinner)
7. Fisherman’s Kitchen (Crab boil)
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shoutout God and my support system. Without God and my village I wouldn’t have half of the opportunities available.
