We had the good fortune of connecting with Ketra Richmond and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ketra, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success is just BELIEVING that I could be successful!

I’m fortunate to have people in my corner who motivate me as well as those who look up to me.
But honestly, NONE of that recognition matters if we lack trust in our own abilities.

Self-doubt is the worst! It will have you out here sabotaging your own dreams before you have the chance to put your new idea on paper. However, I have learned (and now teach others) that it becomes easier to kill that negative noise when you figure out the root of the issue, heal the affected area, and plant confidence in it’s place.

The success of my brands stem from self-confidence. That confidence outwardly projects into my business, encourages me to step outside of the box, and take creative risks.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
There was a point in my life when I just felt stuck!

I didn’t feel I had much to offer the world. That was until I figured out what really set me apart from others allowing me to show my truest potential.

I’ve always been good at making something great out of nothing. So, my first business goal was figuring out how to package those skills in a way that others could benefit. I’ve found that people have a need for the majority if not all my services.

I didn’t have a lot of money to start my first business. However, I did possess a unique love for secondhand designer fashion and a low-key bad thrifting habit. I decided to create a platform that offered other ladies an opportunity to take advantage of the same deals I was finding.

Years later, I endured a terrible break-up that led me on a spiritual spiral forcing me to evaluate how I was navigating in my own life. Although those times were dark, I learned a lot about myself and journaled throughout the process.

That journey inspired me to create non-profit ‘ENOUGH|Today, Inc.’
This platform has helped to prevent other ladies from going down the same toxic journey I’ve endured. In 2020, I wrote and published “Shell of A WOMAN- A Journey To Heal My Broken Pieces, a step-by-step healing tool to help guide those who are ready to take their power back and begin their own healing and confidence journey.

Currently “Keys To A RICHER Life” consists of the following five (5) brands:

•ENOUGH|Today, Inc.
Non-profit encouraging self-confidence and inner strength

•J. London Boutique
Online designer & name brand resale boutique

•Ketra Rich Realty

•Vibe Rich Media

•LUXE Career Consultants:

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The itinerary would absolutely depend on the scene and mood of their trip. However, if it was their first time exploring the area, I would take them to experience the following areas:

Dallas Location :
Klyde Warren Park
Happiest Hour
Tru Kitchen
Moxie’s

Frisco/Plano Location:
The Star Frisco
Legacy Hall
Shops @ Legacy

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My very first shoutout HAS to go to my daughter, Jordyn London. She is the best… and for whatever reason thinks that I’m a Super Hero. She reassures me daily, reminding me that there’s nothing I cannot do. – Love this “Sour Patch Diva”!

Shout out to my 24 year old son, Jay Rich. Having this kid when I was a kid taught me a LOT. He keeps me on my toes and makes me feel youthful within the presence of his free spirit.

Shout out to my nieces, Kyla & Mya! They are easily the dopest artists I’ve ever seen! Their energy is everything I wish I was as a teenager. I low-key wish I had their life growing up.

Shout out to my “seesters”, Shedric & Nasha! They support me to the fullest! I love the fact that they have the ability to cheer me on and also call me out lovingly when they see areas that could benefit from improvement.

Shout out to some of my FAVORITE women! Cecili, Taneka, Andrea, Stephanie, Judge Kelly, and ALL of my mentees! You ladies inspire me daily!

Shout out to my daddy, Lance. Thank you for raising me without limitations and showing me that anything the guys could do I could do too (and sometimes better)!

Annnnddd… shout out to all the “L’s” I took in life!
Those presumed losses actually turned into beautiful lessons that now help to serve others! Those moments remind me daily that circumstances are not happening “to me” they are happening “through me” in order to benefit the life of others.
