We had the good fortune of connecting with Kenneth Reed and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kenneth, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
As a young child, I always drew the characters cartoons like Danny Phantom, Ben 10, Dragon Ball, etc. I got extremely good at them. After that I began writing and drawing my own comic books. One summer, it took me so long to get hired to jobs that I was applying to. I realized I could use my talents as a career. It allows me to take my ideas and put them in visual form. It also allows me to help others bring their ideas to life. The creative world is so versatile and connected in all aspects. It’ll give me a chance to learn new artistic skills, and meet new artistic people. I mostly make cover art graphics for musicians. I saw that covers are very important in the industry, and I want to be connected to that industry as much as I can. Also, I plan on designing clothes for my own line. I want that to be global. Nothing can beat having a career that you have fun with.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m proud of how I built a hobby of mine into a very fantastic career. It wasn’t easy at all. My biggest obstacle was my own self-doubt. I saw other artists were already where they needed to be, and it caused me to rush myself. Being a creative takes a lot of mental strength. I had to learn how to be patient and take my time to perfect my skills. I’m still perfecting them to this day. I’m learning how to communicate in the business world and also navigate through it. I’m also excited about the future projects that I will be able to do. I plan on taking my art and creativity into other mediums like photography, animation, and videography. I want the world to know that I’m ready to make my mark. I’m trying to inspire the world with my drive and touch it with my ideas.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Fun in Little Rock Sunday- Hang out at Park Plaza Mall Monday – Hike Pinnacle Mountain Tuesday – Jump around at Altitude Wednesday – Hang out at Dave & Busters Thursday – Go skating out at the Arkansas Skatium Friday – Visit the Zoo Saturday – Drink some Tropical Smoothie

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have to shout out my parents. It might seem like a typical move, but I have to give them as much credit as I can. They’ve done nothing but support all of my ideas and everything that I’ve done since the day I was born. Every time I create something or have a new idea they show more excitement than I do. Also, when I was first starting, they made sure I had the right supplies when I needed it. They help me out so much. I get encouragement from other sources, but without my parents, I wouldn’t be here to do the things I do.
