Hi Kella, how has your work-life balance changed over time?

1. Focus on Career Achievement Before Marriage:
In the early stages of my career and before I got married, my primary focus was on building my professional life. I invested a lot of time and effort in my education and work experience to establish a solid foundation in my field. During this period, my work-life balance was skewed more towards my career development, as I had the flexibility and energy to commit to it fully.

2. Balancing Career and My Spouse’s Military Service:
When my spouse was serving in the military, it was a challenging time in terms of work-life balance. I had to be flexible and understanding of the demands that came with military service. Balancing my career with the uncertainties and long deployments of military life was a unique and important challenge during this phase.

3. Priority on Children as Our Family Grew:
As our family grew with the arrival of children, my focus shifted to nurturing and caring for them. Work-life balance tilted more towards family time, as we needed to devote considerable energy to raising our children. This phase involved making career choices that allowed for greater flexibility to meet the needs of our expanding family.

4. Emphasizing Time Off and Enjoying Moments:
With a growing family, creating memorable moments and spending quality time with my spouse and kids became a priority. We planned vacations, family outings, and celebrated important milestones, enriching our family life and making lasting memories.

5. Balancing Family, Career, and Personal Growth:
As my children grew older and became more self-sufficient, I had the opportunity to focus more on my career and personal growth. I considered pursuing additional education, growing my business, and taking on new professional challenges while ensuring it aligned with my family’s needs.

6. Balancing Time with My Husband and Business Growth:
With our children continuing to mature, I can allocate more time to strengthen my relationship with my spouse and expand my business. It was crucial to maintain a strong connection with my partner and ensure that my business goals were in harmony with the needs of our family.

Throughout these phases, I constantly reevaluate my work-life balance to adapt to our changing circumstances, ensuring that my priorities aligned with our family’s needs and my career aspirations. Balancing the demands of family life and professional growth was an ongoing but rewarding journey.

I’m genuinely excited about my ability to make a positive impact on others’ lives through my business. I take a multifaceted approach, from helping individual clients with their health and wellness goals to assisting fitness professionals in developing their businesses. Additionally, working with companies to design and execute employee wellness programs is a source of immense pride for me. What sets me apart is my commitment to delivering personalized solutions that truly stick, creating lasting and healthy habits for my clients and partners. I’m most proud of the transformations and improvements I’ve witnessed in the lives of those I’ve had the privilege to work with.

**How did you get to where you are today business-wise? Was it easy?**

My journey to where I am today in my business has been anything but easy. It’s been filled with numerous challenges, experimentation, and relentless hard work. I began by working with various gyms and sought out opportunities to collaborate with top brands in the health and wellness industry. My goal was simple – to become the best I could be in my field.

**If not, how did you overcome the challenges?**

Overcoming these challenges required a resilient spirit. I refused to give up, no matter how many setbacks I encountered. I embraced a mindset that wasn’t afraid to try new approaches and wasn’t deterred by failure. I consistently learned from my mistakes and criticisms and leveraged my strengths to keep moving forward. Every challenge became an opportunity for growth.

**What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way?**

One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is the value of continuous learning. The world of health and wellness is ever-evolving, and I believe it’s crucial to stay informed and adapt to the latest developments. Additionally, resilience and the ability to embrace criticism as a tool for improvement have been invaluable lessons.

**What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?**

I want the world to know that I am deeply committed to making lives healthier and happier through a personalized approach that focuses on creating sustainable and healthy habits. My brand is synonymous with not only achieving short-term goals but also with instilling long-lasting changes that lead to improved well-being. I believe in the power of persistence, learning, and a strong commitment to making a difference in the lives of my clients and partners.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting the area for a week, I’d want to ensure they had an unforgettable time. Here’s a sample itinerary of the places and activities I would take them to:

**Day 1: Arrival and Local Dining**
– Welcome dinner at a local Tex-Mex restaurant to give them a taste of authentic Texan cuisine.

**Day 2: Exploring the City**
– Morning visit to a renowned art museum in the area.
– Afternoon shopping and strolling in the vibrant downtown district.
– Evening cocktails at a rooftop bar with a panoramic view of the city.

**Day 3: Cultural Experience**
– Morning trip to a local historic district to explore the area’s rich cultural heritage.
– Afternoon visit to a world-class science museum or a local brewery tour.
– Evening dinner at a fine-dining restaurant featuring regional specialties.

**Day 4: Adventure and Nature**
– Morning excursion to the Stockyards for a taste of cowboy culture, including cattle drives.
– Afternoon hiking along the scenic DFW trails with shelter dogs, enjoying the great outdoors and contributing to a good cause.
– Evening barbecue dinner at a classic Texas BBQ joint. Maybe catch a local concert.

**Day 5: Day Trip**
– A day trip to a nearby picturesque town, exploring charming streets and enjoying a relaxed lunch.

– Evening BBQ or seafood dinner by the waterfront.

**Day 7: Sunset and Memories**
– Spend the day relaxing at our property, which includes the bluffs.
– Enjoy a leisurely afternoon with outdoor activities, maybe fishing or swimming.
– Finish the night with a mesmerizing sunset and a cozy fire by the bluffs, creating lasting memories.

This itinerary combines a mix of cultural, culinary, outdoor, and scenic experiences, ensuring that my best friend gets a taste of the region’s diverse offerings and has a fantastic time during their visit.
