Meet Keith Vierra | Fine woodworker, instructor and inspiration mentor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Keith Vierra and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Keith, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Details! Details, details, details. People will be attracted to pieces you make because of who you are but they will buy and tell others based on the quality of your work. If you focus on the details, your brand will always be successful.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a woodworker. I create custom wood pieces in the form of tables, charcuterie board serving trays. I’ve built large custom outdoor kitchens patio covers pizza ovens. Even custom doors and mirrors. However my true passion is fine furniture. I specialize in tables with beautiful hardwoods and epoxy.
I’ve always been a builder and a creator as long as I can remember. Every piece I work on I learn a new skill and how to translate it to the next piece. I believe what sets me apart is I i’m always trying to push the boundaries of art and creativity in my custom pieces. I trusted my ability to create something that my customers see in their vision.
During the design process I do a lot of listening. I let their ideas come out in my vision.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We live in a very diverse area of Dallas Fort Worth Texas. People that have not been to this area really get a treat because we have a wide array of things to do right here locally. The greatest thing about this area or the people. We are rich in tradition and we love our history. This is where we have to start!
Small town cafés and restaurants in the surrounding areas are excellent to tap into The Southern charm of east Texas. Yes sir and yes ma’am it’s common language here. Our friends visiting from other areas absolutely need to experience this hospitality.
We would take in all of the sites possible from the amazing history in Dallas to our wild West roots Fort Worth. And not to mention some of the very best food in the country. We would spend a day and travel through the hill country and then take in a day of relaxing Lake living out in the piney woods of East Texas.
The nightlife would not be complete if we didn’t take in some of the amazing bands and artist that make their home here And listen to live music. Of course we would have to take in a sporting event at one of our world-class sports franchise and stadiums.
But the best times would be hanging on the back porch catching up and inviting the neighbors over for home cook steaks on the grill
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My credit has to be given many people along my journey. I watch and learn from others I don’t know, and I soak up information from others that I know personally. I accentuate the good lessons and learn from the bad.
I give credit to those that believed in me when I may not have believed in myself. They gave me an opportunity to rise to a challenge and pushed me out of my comfort zones. I’ve learned from my boys as they have grown up, as they both take in information differently. I need to learn them they don’t need to learn me. I truly admire small business owners that push through so many challenges to operate their business. The most impactful people to me have always been the ones to take the time to teach and encourage!
