Meet Kaylynn Villalas | Event Decorator & Balloon Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kaylynn Villalas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kaylynn, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Growing up, my life wasn’t always rainbows and butterflies. I promised myself that if I had kids, I’d give them rainbows and butterflies. So for most of their birthdays, or achievements I make sure to make them feel special. By doing this, it grew into family asking for help with events, then friends, and now I get inquiries everyday! I never thought my small balloon business would take off the way it did but I’m so incredibly blessed to share this with others. Just seeing what I can do for others and them be so excited and happy gives me all the rainbows and butterflies. I’m thankful for where I am now, but so excited to see where God has me next year.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I think what sets me apart is I will always go above and beyond to make sure the event I’m setting up for is a “wow factor” My clients wants and needs are a top priority and I will try my very best with the resources provided to give them even better than what they imagined. I’m most excited to see where we’ll be in the next year. Maybe a big balloon uhaul, event space, Who knows! I can’t wait to continue growing this business to provide the very best. It has definitely had its up and downs. Just like every small business , youre consistenly investing in it. its my baby, so some months are harder than others, but it’s only looking up from here. I’m an extremely hard worker, & also very kind. Sometimes those are my greatest faults, but they are also my best qualities.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Oh snap! If my bestie was coming, we would definitely dream of getting a love shack fancy dress by visiting it. Then we’d wear our favorite dupes lol and go on a gorgeous picnic at Adriatica village over looking the water. Our picnic would consist of all goods. Charcuterie boards from Beesandboards, Cheese cake jars from Desserts with Dannyelle, & yummy custom cookies from Abroad cookie co. We would take cute pics, frolic in fields lol And after frolicking maybe grab an energizing tea from Nutrition with a Twist or Dynamic Nutrition! We would definitely have to go get pizza at some point from Cane Rosso, its so delicious & end the night at the Coyote drive in movie theatre, hopefully watching a rom-com.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My Shoutout goes to God of course, without his light and guidance, I honestly wouldn’t be blessed doing this interview right now. My 3 boys Avan, Kai, & Luca. I love you boys so much, thank you for the constant motivation to do better & be better & Also always helping mommy with the balloons lol. I would also like to shoutout my hubby, for being a trooper alongside me during this journey.
Also everyone who has made this small business possible I’m so grateful to everyone who is rooting for me, either quietly or on the front row. You guys are amazing.
