We had the good fortune of connecting with Kassidie Baldwin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kassidie, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Teaching yoga feels even less like work when I view my job as a service to the community. In our fast-paced lives, we often rush from one task to another without taking a moment for ourselves. Your yoga practice might be the only time in your day when you can truly connect with yourself and observe how you feel. This can provide a much-needed break for your nervous system from daily stressors, leaving you better equipped to handle life’s challenges.

I’ve witnessed the practice positively transform my own life and many others’. Each class impacts individuals in unique, yet positive, ways. This has the potential to create a ripple effect throughout the world, spreading well-being and resilience in our communities.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m very proud of myself for sticking to this journey and watching it unfold from student to teacher. I still have so much more I want to do with my work. This year I added Sound Healing to my resume, and am learning more about breathwork so that I can offer that as well. This year I also went on my first retreat as a teacher and I’m looking forward to another one this fall. That was a big goal for me that I set a few years back. I’ve also been able to teach some amazing professional athletes and host a few Lululemon classes too. Luckily I love what I do, so I’m able to show up consistently and give my all to my students and devote myself to becoming a better teacher. That consistency continues to bring me business opportunities that are better than I could have ever dreamed. I’m filled with so much gratitude when I think about how it all came to be.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We’d definitely visit Mexican bar company for their reverse happy hour. I love the Fowling Warehouse and places with activities that no one has done before so the playing field is neutral.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’m endlessly grateful to my supportive friends, family, and students. I wouldn’t be able to teach if there wasn’t anyone willing to get on the mat with me. My community has shown up consistently to their practice which makes it possible, and motivates me to continue showing up as well.
