We had the good fortune of connecting with Kamrin Elliott and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kamrin, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The thought process behind starting my own business was to do what I love and love what I do. I have always been a creative person. I can pick up on new skills very fast. I had to hone in on what skills I do best because a jack of all trades is a master of none. So I took my passion for people and my love of decorating and started Vision Balloon Company.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am the owner of Vision Balloon Co. Vision was birthed out during the Pandemic, with a need for balloons for family birthday parties and events. What sets me apart from others is my heart., I have a passion for others. I live my life with the motto God First, Others Second, and I Third. I am most proud of the growth over the years. With each installment that I do my skills increase and my confidence grows. I got where I am today with discipline. This road was not easy. I’ve suffered losses throughout the launch of my company but It’s all been worth it to see my vision. I was able to overcome challenges by keeping my head held high and focusing on where my help comes from. I want the world to know that “All your dreams can come true If you dare to pursue them.”

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting I would take them on a food tour of Dallas. Depending on the weather we would go to a nice rooftop such as RH Rooftop, HG Supply, or Surf Camp. We would also visit North Park Mall for some shopping. For nightlife, I would take them to The Tipsy Alchemist.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to recognize my childhood friend Brittany C. – The owner of Label 7 Statement Adornments. She has been my right-hand woman in getting my business off the ground. Thank you so much for your business strategy lessons, time, and consistency.
