We had the good fortune of connecting with Kalessia K Wallace and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kalessia K, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
God, faith, consistency and hard work. God; because what is success without him? Faith; for the times I need hope because sometimes during the process of building and working towards success is when we tend to give up. Consistency; for every goal I’ve set has required me to be consistent and dedicated but never perfect. Hard work; because that is the price for success. Putting in the work to make my dreams come true. Put those 4 factors together and the sky is the limit.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I feel as though my art, creativity and me as an individual is set apart in many ways. I’ve always tried my best to a make sure my work represent, class, luxury and all things glam. I am very proud of how I stayed true to my version of hair artistry as a beauty influncer and Celebrity hairstylist. Sometimes it easy to loose you authentic creativity with so many things changing in the beauty industry. I’m not oppose to change, however with that change I wanted to make sure that I didn’t loose what made me Kalessia K but yet, elevate her with time. A lot of the reason why I am where I am today is because of the amazing connections I’ve made along the way. Talent will only get yo so far, so networking and collabarating with other dope companies and brands has definitely been pivotal to my success. Though I have experience a few challenges along the way, I’ve learned to overcome them by giving myself grace. Understanding that mistakes are lessons, challenges build character and strength. The only way to overcome any challenge in life is to attack it head on no matter how hard the challenge is or how you feel. Keep going!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Some of my favorite spots in Dallas all consist of great food and drinks. RH Dallas, Kitchen & Kocktails, Xoxo Dinning, Al’ Biernat’s and of course Sky Blossom are some amazing spots to visit.
