Meet Kaitlyn Sogga | Professional Makeup Artist & Commercial Realtor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kaitlyn Sogga and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kaitlyn, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success is having knowledge of products and application, being innovated, and keeping personal relationships with everyone I work with. I believe it is important to constantly be working on your skillset to be better. If I am not improving in my career/passion it will lead to being stationary, which will not allow me to be at my full potential. For my brand, it is important to be knowledgeable about each product I am using and how it will effect the skin. I also have to be knowledgeable about how to properly apply these products for a seamless finish. Outside of application it is important for me to keep personal relationships with every client before, during and after I work with them. A lot of my business is word of mouth which has led me to be successful with loyal clients because I develop close relationships with them. My goal is to work with them more than once and as many times as I can. Lastly, a factor of my success has been my enjoyment for my brand. People can see the love and attention I give my business.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart is my personality and professionalism. I take my business very seriously and respect every person I come across. I am most proud of how much I have grown in both of my businesses. I am proud of the connections I have made and experiences I have had. I am proud to be expanding in all aspects. My journey was not all that easy, but I did have amazing support and mentors to guide me. I got to where I am today by taking on challenges and learning from my mistakes. I overcame challenges by asking for reviews, so I can get a better understanding of how to improve. I also overcome challenges by being honest with my clients and making conversation comfortable, so improvements can be made and communication is clear.
I want people to know I am a genuine person and care more about creating relationships rather than making money. Money is obviously important for our livelihoods, but I want each of my clients to feel like they are being taken care of in a genuine way.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting I would first pick her up from the airport and take her to Kai’s in Legacy West for some sushi and amazing drinks. We would wake up and go to the Henry in Dallas for brunch followed by some shopping at NorthPark mall. After a long day of shopping we would need to relax, so I would take her to a movie where we could order food at our chair. The next day I would schedule us facials because that is very important for our skin health and goes hand in hand with my makeup business. That night I would take her to 400 Gradi in Dallas TX for the most amazing pizza and Italian food. They import every ingredient from Italy, it is so amazing. A fun place to hangout is Klyd Warren park in Dallas and I also love the truck yard in the Colony. There are so many fun activities to do in Dallas like bowling, arcades, golf, museums, rooftop bars, comedy shows and concerts.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would first like to give my shoutout to my parents for raising me to be a good member of society and teaching me to be prepared for the real world. They definitely paved the way for me since I was a young girl. For my real estate business I would like to shoutout my mentor, Mr. Craig. He has exposed to me to so many opportunities and shown me the ropes for all real estate deals. He has helped me build a great network of other amazing commercial real estate professionals. He has taught me very important business and life lessons that has helped me grow into who I am today.
For my makeup career I would like to shoutout my team artists Madeline Cope and Paige Parker. They are beautiful people on the inside and out. They have pushed me to be better every single day. Their work inspires me and teaches me new things.
I would not be who I am today without any of these people.
