We had the good fortune of connecting with Kai Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kai, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Most things in life worth doing involve some amount of risk versus reward. It’s natural to want to increase the reward and decrease the risk involved but you have to take risks in order to achieve success. When I decided to start Kai Davis Prosthetics I had just been very nicely let go. There was an opportunity to continue the relationship with my previous employer but I would have to become independent. It was a golden opportunity but it was just that an opportunity. As a creative you have to see the opportunity amidst chaos and work to see it become a reality.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Our mission at Kai Davis Prosthetics is to provide patient first prosthetic care through tailor-made solutions that restore people’s lives. To that end, we try to put the care back in healthcare. I feel that care is and always has been the defining trait that sets our practice apart. No matter what someone is doing at our company I always ask “is this best for the patient?”

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
It’s cliché but my family. I started Kai Davis Prosthetics with my sons Luke and Joshua. My wife Brett answered the phones and did various odd jobs in the office. My family is an integral part of my business and I couldn’t do it without them.
