We had the good fortune of connecting with K. TRÉ TAYLOR and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi K. TRÉ, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I’m from Dallas, Tx. Growing up in the slums of Dallas, Tx will test your resolve, heart & intelligence. You have to know how to move in the jungle, always trust your gut, and rep for the Cowboys no matter what! #DC4L

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I began writing my thoughts in rhyme at age 9 to gain recognition/acceptance from the older Gs in my neighborhood. I finally invested in myself around 2012 when I produced & released my 1st mistake “Every1 Wit Me Is Family vol. 1 N.ot F.or L.ames”… There were a sleu of hurdles to get over. I had no idea what I was doing. I just knew I had talent. From performing at open mics across the states, to connecting with producers/artists abroad, to partnering up to start a entertainment company, I’m grateful for it all. I’ve learned that you get out what you put in, at least. Just know I’m not stopping & am coming for everything I thought I couldn’t have.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We’d definitely visit The Freeman for some live music on a Wednesday or Sunday evening. Sandagas 813 for a good time.

Ellen’s for breakfast & Pangeas for dinner…and just explore Deep Ellum & other parts of the city.
