We had the good fortune of connecting with Justen Burns and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Justen, as a parent, what have you done for you children that you feel has had the most significant impact?
The most important thing I’ve taught my daughter is morals and discipline.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a producer and an artist. I produce all of my music I rap and sing. I produce all genres of music as well as jingles and commercials/movie scores.I take pride and make music that my 14-year-old daughter can appreciate as well as someone from the old school.

It was hard getting to where I am. I have been producing music for over 15 years. A lot of times I wanted to quit or felt I was too told, but God kept bringing me back to my passion.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Most importantly Yah, My daughter Skye, my mother Shea, my Aunt Charita, my Aunt Theresa, My uncle Juan, My grandparents Tommie and Barbara, my cousin Daniel, my cousin, Marih, my cousin Adam, my cousin Amanda, my best friend Trevor.
