We had the good fortune of connecting with Joseph Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Joseph, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I was born in Guam. My dad was enlisted in the Air Force and prior to me being brought into this world my mom had been fighting a battle with cancer. The flight over to Guam almost became a critical moment in not only my life but my mom’s. They did not expect either of us to make it. Safe to say that I’m still living today so God was not through with me yet. At the same time, at the age of seven my mom passed away due to cancer. This is where the biggest impact and what I carry with me today continues to shape me to progress forward. I never knew nor the majority of people around us that my mom had cancer. I found out at the championship game for t-ball where my team won the game. As I’m celebrating with my team, I look into the stands and see my mom jumping up and down. Not long after seeing her… her wig came off and brought me to an instant stoppage. I just started not realizing what’s going on. What made it even more important looking back is that although people saw what happened she kept jumping and cheering like nothing happened. That’s the most important thing that has shaped me today. No matter what is going on and affecting you… the things, businesses, opportunities etc. can either be a burden to you or it can be a help to someone else. See, my mom was a nurse and a very good one at that taking care of people on a daily basis. As she struggled behind the scenes, she was able to help so many without bringing her pain around other people. To this day if someone sees me and knows my mom they will talk on and on about how great of a person she is. I strive to be, even if it’s a 1/4th of who she is, to continue to do my best to help others no matter the situation. Also, realizing that life can be taken at any time so the impact you have on others can affect not only that person but someone’s family for a lifetime.

What should our readers know about your business?

We are a Health and Wellness Chiropractic Clinic where we not only focus on corrective care but wellness care. Our motto is to let us L-evate your mind and body to make your uncomfortable state… COMFORTABLE.

I started the clinic while I was still in Chiropractic school. I asked God for 3 main things before I could or would open a clinic. The one thing I learned quickly is that God will honor your requests and you never know when he will make it happen for you. When all three of my tasks were met, I didn’t have a choice because that was not only a sign but I felt it was a bigger purpose ahead. I hired doctors, got the location and all other aspects of the business going. What most never saw were the days, weeks, and months that I wasn’t sleeping while running up and down the highway to manage a business in between classes on top of making sure I still took care and provided for my family. I started from scratch but one thing about me is that I’m not afraid to ask questions and seek knowledge. The amount of people including the ones closest to me that told me not to do it or even turn their back to me was astonishing to me. It wasn’t until I started seeing success and my hard work pay off that they even acknowledged what I’ve done. But I always remembered the 3 people who fought battles way tougher than I have and it got me through it.

One thing about me is that I’m passionate about helping people. I’ve worked in the engineering and management field for 12 years prior to deciding to change my path. I even joined the military later in age where most thought I was crazy to do. I want people to know and understand that no matter what you have going on in life, people who may not believe in you, or even if you’re feeling stuck, you can make a change. It just comes with a prayer, a plan, and some serious action behind it. The background of my brand is all about elevation. One thing the majority of the world does is say “I’m going to” and “I wish I did.” The one thing and phase they never said or did is “I’m doing.”

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

I’m more of a spontaneous person but a semi-planned person. I’m the type that I would have two cards that they would have to choose from for every event or place we went. Although I like to go places that I would enjoy, I like to give the access and ability for the other person coming to visit to say so in it as well.

If I had to pick certain places, these are some places I would think of. I’m a big fan of Turkey legs. The Turkey Dam would be a place I would want my friend to experience. I would also get suite tickets to a Mavs game and suite tickets to a Cowboys game. A helicopter ride over the city would also be a great experience. I’m not a big club person so I would pick 3-4 places that I would have them pick out of a hat and we would go visit through the week.

Dallas is a place where there are so many fun and exciting things to do and I’ll be the first to say that I’m still exploring myself!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would have to shout out my mom Patricia Jones, my oldest brother Michael Jones, and my nephew CJ. These are the people who were taken from this world prematurely but the strongest people I’ve ever met. There is not a day that I do not think about them and no matter what the situation is.. I know that they are still my biggest supporters.
