We had the good fortune of connecting with Jordana Contrucci Ruiz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jordana, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
My name is Jordana Contrucci Ruiz, and I’m a general dentist and proud owner of my own dental practice, CR Dental Group.
I believe the most important factor behind my success is putting people first, this includes my team, my patients, and the dental community around me. Every day, my goal is to help patients feel happy, calm, and at ease in a dental setting.
Dentistry is a challenging profession. As dentists, we often take on the emotions of our patients, many of whom are anxious or fearful. We also manage expectations and work to align them with realistic outcomes. One of my top priorities is to truly listen, understanding what patients want and need, and ensuring they fully understand the expected results before any treatment begins.
Another key to my success has been having a strong support system and maintaining a healthy work-life balance. As a wife and mother of two boys, I’m fortunate to have a full and rewarding life outside the office. This allows me to disconnect, recharge, and return to work with the energy and focus needed to give my best to my patients and team.
I’m especially grateful for the unwavering support of my husband, who constantly encourages me to aim higher and never settle. I believe it’s vital to never get too comfortable, to always strive to grow, do more, and bring more joy to the people around me.

What should our readers know about your business?
I’m the proud owner of CR Dental Group.
The journey hasn’t been easy. I purchased the practice in 2019, just before the challenges of COVID-19, ice storms, and even tornado damage. It was a rocky start, but we made it through thanks to the incredible support of my advisors, the previous owner of the practice, and most importantly, our loyal and supportive patients.
I truly couldn’t do what I do without such a wonderful patient base. I believe a big part of that connection comes from the fact that we’re a smaller, boutique-style practice where every patient is treated like family. We focus on creating a warm, welcoming environment, not just a dental office, but a place where people feel cared for.
We also pride ourselves on staying ahead of the curve, constantly investing in cutting-edge technology, high-quality equipment, and top-tier materials to provide the best possible care.
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is to always have contingency plans. Being prepared allows you to stay grounded and face any obstacle with confidence.
The biggest thing I want people to know is that our doors are always open, and we would love the opportunity to show you what makes CR Dental Group so special.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love Dallas and always enjoy playing tour guide when people come to visit.
The food scene here is incredible, so any trip I plan usually revolves around great meals. Some of my favorite spots include Sadelle’s, Rise No. 1, Mamani, Georgie, and Mr. Charles.
Beyond the food, there’s so much to see and do. I always recommend visiting Highland Park Village for shopping, exploring the historic Stockyards in Fort Worth, taking a scenic walk along the Katy Trail, and diving into a bit of history at the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
In life, one of the most important things is to give credit where it’s due.
For me, all my success is owed to the incredible people and mentors who have supported me throughout my journey.
First and foremost, my parents who gave me the opportunity to grow in an environment where I felt supported, nurtured, and empowered. They motivated me and had unwavering faith that I could accomplish anything I set my mind to.
Next, my childhood dentist, Dr. Richard Soven, who became one of my earliest mentors. He showed me what was possible in this field, allowed me to shadow in his office, and has always been just a phone call away for guidance and support.
Dr. Reisman, the dentist and former owner of the practice I now run. He mentored me with generosity and integrity, showing me what it means to be both a skilled clinician and a strong business owner. He continues to be a listening ear and a helping hand whenever I need guidance.
Lastly, my husband has been a constant source of motivation. He pushes me to aim higher, supports me through every challenge, and is always there as a steady and reassuring presence, my safety net when I need one.
