Meet John Beaman | Business Executive and Public Servant

We had the good fortune of connecting with John Beaman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi John, how does your business help the community?
This is exactly what The McGraw Council is all about – we help small business owners achieve their American Dream! People start their businesses to pursue their passions but sadly, most independent businesses go under, often due to a lack of business knowledge. That is where we come in! The McGraw Council helps entrepreneurs and small business owners create the system they need to succeed so their businesses scalable, predictable, and sustainable – we literally help small business owners achieve their dreams! By helping small business owners succeed in their businesses, we also enable them to give back to their communities as well. We help the small business owner manage their business in such a way that they are able to give back to their respective communities. So, in terms of social impact, we get to play a small role in helping local economies grow and thrive by helping the small business community!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Part of what makes The McGraw Council unique is its ability to help small business owners on a national scale while also having a strong sense of community, even local community. We are able to help small business owners grow and improve their businesses by providing applicable education and mentorship to assist them in applying the education – that is where we are very unique. No one is able to get as close to the small business owner as we are while producing such tangible benefit and we are able to deliver. What gets me excited is whenever a small business owner takes a step in the right direction and you can hear them get excited – that’s what fuels us to do even more great things! My journey has been unique and while it definitely took hard work and long hours, my journey had very few obstacles. I was blessed to be in a position where opportunities presented themselves; all I had to do was put in the early mornings and late nights. That being said, keeping the end vision in mind was always helpful when I came across a challenge; realizing that what we are doing is more than just one thing – it’s a higher calling to help other people and that is what helps me get through each and every challenge!
I have learned so much through experience and from others but a few of the specific lessons are (1) surround yourself with good mentors, (2) ensure you are building your system as a process/system rather than just a product/service, and (3) always seek to give and help others. These are things that continually keep me on the right path and I have been blessed with a close group of people who help keep me pursuing these things continually!
I want the world to know that The McGraw Council exists to help small business owners; small business owners have always been there for us and I want the world to know that we are there for the small business owners! There is someone out there that has their back, there is someone who has their best interest in mind, and that someone is The McGraw Council!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definitely take them to the lakefront area in Rockwall, after grabbing a great lunch in Heath at one of our locally owned businesses! There is rich history in the Heath/Rockwall area, excellent food options, amazing scenery, and family-friendly entertainment! From sports bars to entertainment venues to live music to farmers markets, Heath-Rockwall has a variety of different activities and places to try out!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are a few people whom I owe much gratitude. I owe so much to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ – it is because of Him that my life has purpose! My family, my friends, and my team at The McGraw Council – I would not be here without each and every one of them!
