Meet Jessica Garcia | Sales Representative

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica Garcia and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jessica, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind our success at R.M. Stone are values. We started our business relationship based and will continue to expand this way. We treat our clients with understanding and integrity and they see that! There has been several times that our clients ask things from us not always in regard to counter tops sometimes as a friend and we are always a call away. We prefer to have their trust and a relationship over a one time business transaction any day.
What should our readers know about your business?
Almost three years ago, my parents started R.M. Stone. With only about 2-3 jobs per month, they worked from a family member’s shop to fabricate counter tops. My mom, Aide Anaya, spoke to me about how they opened their own business but needed help to obtain work. I became licensed in real estate so decided maybe I could help by collaborating both real estate and counter tops as one to increase sales in both businesses. With this idea in my head, I quickly got to work and decided to drive by neighborhoods with new construction homes. I would drive up to properties under construction and walk right into the construction sites in search of the builders, contractors, or anyone that could provide the contact information for the people I was in search for. It is definitely much easier said than done now looking back because it takes so much courage and confidence to walk into a construction site full of men with so much knowledge in construction. I was not so familiar with all the counter tops aspects let alone, construction at the time! Nonetheless, I was extremely motivated to see my family grow and knew it was possible to one day attain our own counter top warehouse filled with employees. I would continue to walk into construction sites to speak with contractors and builders. Eventually, some builders agreed to let us work with them. It started with one home for them to see our work and eventually, we gained their trust to handle all of their properties plus referrals. On the real estate side, I was still able to help them in many ways such as assist builders with sharing my network with them, record content on their properties, list their properties, help them buy land, or simply give them my perspective on what’s trendy right now with counter top designs. I believe in give and take not just getting business or referrals which is why at R.M. Stone, we have developed a great understanding with our clients and enjoy it. Fast forward to almost three years later, we were able to obtain our warehouse and several workers to continue growing our business. We are beyond thankful for the opportunity our first clients have given us and cannot wait to see what the future holds.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
One of my favorite spots in the city is Saaya, it’s a pretty trendy and popular spot with nice music but for food definitely Anaya’s Seafood Scratch Kitchen for the best seafood and cocktails!!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My step-dad Rafael Mondragon, worked for a guy with a counter top business for several years. Almost 3 years ago, my mom decided he had enough experience and registered the company and so began R.M Stone.
