We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessa Eichner and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jessa, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Initially, it was a way for my sister & I to share our handmade crafts with people. She made jewelry and I made extra large tie blankets. After a while, it evolved into something bigger with us doing tshirts, tumblers, & tote bags – a lot of custom designs. We just loved being able to offer people something personal.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As my sister & I both have full-time jobs aside from our small business, there are definitely challenges to overcome like dedicated enough time to our business and our customers. It’s definitely not always easy but we love what we do and love bringing a small to somebody’s face when it’s, what I call “happy mail day” and their package arrives.

Keeping up with a social media presence has been a learning curve. There are so many wonderful businesses out there who just crush the social media thing – we are watching y’all are learning from y’all constantly!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I LOVE the Fort Worth Stockyards so definitely some time spent there for some shopping and Riscky’s BBQ! If the time of year is right, a baseball game in Arlington would definitely be on the table. Otherwise, any dog friendly places which I’m constantly on the lookout for.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have to give a shoutout to the little community of dog moms I have found myself a part of on Instagram – these ladies are amazing and have been so supportive of our small business. Some of them having small businesses of their own!
