Hi Jerrica, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
Life is all about believing in oneself and taking chances. In Arlington, Texas, I decided to complete my bachelor’s degree at UTA after COVID. Despite my anxiety due to the fact that I had just launched my business, I quit my full-time job and went full-time into baking in order to complete my coursework. This decision took a long time to make, but I’m glad I did. Because of my schedule, I was able to organize cookie dough lessons for children and participate in various pop-ups in addition to graduating. You should always bet on yourself. Don’t let other people convince you not to have confidence in yourself and to aim high!

What should our readers know about your business?
It took a lot of effort and commitment to get me to where I am now. It’s true that nothing in life is simple! To be honest, you simply need to focus on one issue at a time. You must be flexible enough to change with the times! But if you keep working hard, it will all be worthwhile in the end! All I want is for Jerrbear Treats to be enjoyed by everyone. After learning that I had Sarcoidosis, an underlying illness, I was resolved to work even harder.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If a person were to visit the area and wished to explore Dallas, I would bring them to Klyde Warren Park. There are numerous food trucks and activities to enjoy for children and family bonding. I would also take them to Downtown Dallas, where there are many great restaurants and entertainment options. The AT&T Discovery typically has plenty of activities available, even on weekends.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family is very supportive of my entrepreneurial endeavors! They assist with order delivery and even place orders. In fact, it was a family friend who came down and showed me how to prepare peach cobbler and banana pudding. Following that, I taught myself how to create a variety of desserts, including shortcake and chocolate chip cookies. I am really appreciative of my team!
