We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeremiah Flores and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jeremiah, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?

Yes! The biblical verse, “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou cadets forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5 King James Version). This affirmation always reminds me of my mother, grandmother, and all of those who have been with me every step of the way. From the age of five my family would take me to attend church services every Sunday morning and Thursday nights. There was a kitchen in the back where they would sell food after the service to obtain money for restorations and maintenance costs. I remember the hall lights were always off to help cut back on the church’s utility expenses. As I grew, I saw what was once a large vacant space with a stage full of foldable metal chairs, turn into a completely renovated beautiful church. This affirmation reminds me of experiencing these improvements first hand and being a part of the positive impact in the community. It bestowed a desire to encourage those around me for their betterment just as the church encouraged one another to improve the facility. I was truly blessed to have these individuals around me that have made such an impact in my life. I can only hope and strive to be as much as a positive figure as those who have guided me.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Of course! CM3 Construction Group is a general contracting company that specializes in ground-up, interior finish, remodel, and design-build projects. CM3 Construction’s commitment to vision, quality, safety, and pride is what sets us apart from other general contractors. CM3 has helped construct and maintain a number of commercial properties such as hospitals, churches, schools, and Air Force bases. Our commercial projects extend from the East Coast to the Central United States. I am excited to see the company diversify and expand into new markets. I am most proud of the growth we have created, the work we have completed and the experience we have gained along the way. When on the path to success, there are many obstacles and bumps that occur on the journey. It is important to learn from these incidents rather than feeling defeated and giving up. I would want the world to know CM3 Construction Group as more than just a general contracting group, but a company of hardworking individuals with the common goal of making a change in our communities around the nation.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
On their first day, I would take them to BuzzBrews kitchen for lunch. I recommend the “Buzz Toast N Pancakes”. And for dinner we would catch live music and barbecue from the Jaxon Bear Garden. Then afterwards we would visit Dallas Observer’s 2018 best bartender George Kaiho at Jettisons. The BLVD PO and Escorpion cocktails are unlike any other. There are a variety of different pop-up galleries to visit such as the immersive art experience at Rainbow Vomit and the LightHouse ArtSpace.The famous rotating restaurant in the Reunion Tower Five Sixty by Wolfgang Puck Restaurant is a definite sight to see for those new to Dallas, Texas. The city features many unique dining experiences. For lunch my popular go-tos are The Crafty Irishman Public House, Dick’s Uptown Cafe, Metro Diner, and First Watch. For dinner we would visit Ebb N Flow, Frankie’s Downtown, RH Rooftop, and Perry’s Steakhouse. There is something for everyone to enjoy in and around the city. My favorite places to hang out with friends and clients are the speakeasies. Places such as Bourbon & Banter, Atwater Gallery, and Truth & Alibi.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Along my path there have been many positive influences that have helped me obtain success. To name everyone and every group would take up the whole article! Firstly, my family for being my support system that pushed me forward in my academic and professional career. Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity Incorporated who taught me how to encourage personal growth in my peers and colleagues. And last but not least, CM3 Construction Group. Working alongside owner and CEO Cody Dean Miller III has enriched my ambitions for improvement in my community. From his work ethic to his integrity, Cody Miller is an individual only seen once in a lifetime. He is a true leader and mentor whose legacy I aim to continue and grow for future generations to come.
