We had the good fortune of connecting with Jennifer Swoope and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jennifer, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted to create an additional source of income and I had been working in the Real Estate Title and Mortgage industry during my entire corporate career. I was always fascinated and passionate on all things real estate related so I decided, this would be a great opportunity for me to capitalize on it.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Being a real estate agent in the DFW area is not easy, there are thousands of new agents popping up daily which can be a little discouraging at times but you have to remain true to yourself and your brand.

I get to bring who I am personally to my clients. I listen to understand their needs but also provide sound advise based on those needs to guide them during the process. I’m the agent that will walk into a home during a showing and then immediately walk out telling my clients…”no, this is not what you’re looking for.” Lol

One of the most underrated benefits of becoming a real estate agent is the reward. Having the power to help people achieve their dreams in homeownership and sharing in their excitement. Helping sellers get the best price possible for their property and often assist them with their next steps. It’s rewarding to work with home buyers and home sellers.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would have dinner and drinks at Ocean Prime. Check out some of the amazing pop up museums in the area followed by a quick trip to Rudy’s Chicken. If it’s during football season, AT&T Stadium and the Frisco Star is a must. Swing by Sandaga 813 for live music, and drinks.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Over the course of my career, I’ve had several great mentors who’ve motivated me to keep being my authentic self and to leverage that to continue to grow my business.
