We had the good fortune of connecting with Jenasia Chavez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jenasia, what do you attribute your success to?
Spectra’s ethos centers around the mission of helping others be their best selves. The company itself was started by a pair of physicians who wanted to focus on making healthcare better within the LGBTQ+ community. Dr. Alexandra, one of the founding physicians, believes that manifesting one’s best self extends beyond ones internal health, and started the med spa in the hopes to offer a range of services which would help others achieve a particular aesthetic goal as well.

What should our readers know about your business?
We are a one of a kind mini medspa located in Bishop Arts, Dallas Texas. We opened a few months ago and recently finished renovating. We are self-made, hard working chicas! We take pride in providing multiple services: we perform microneedling, lash and brow services, all the way to chemical peels and even do super cute tiny tattoos! And while we’re most proud to say that we’re an inclusive establishment, welcoming everyone from all walks of life!

It’s been a long journey managing 9AM-9PM days with school and working in the formal, corporate world. We came to Dallas on a whim, but have found an incredible environment in which we can thrive, and we’re so happy that we took a chance on this city. We want to build a welcoming, nourishing environment anyone can channel their creativity and beauty to express their deepest self. We’ve learned that confidence shines, success is made up of all of the little wins and when you “do you…” growth comes close behind!

I don’t think I could choose to do anything else! I can’t believe I actually get paid to help other people! If there’s one thing I want the world to know about Artful Esthetics (by Spectra Health), it’s that you can come as you are, and we’ll help you be exactly who you want to be.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The Bishop Arts District, Dallas is the cutest, liveliest hangout around! You can explore so many beautiful unique places. The Texas theatre is great to watch new or old movies and its architecture is a work of art its self. Bbbop Seoul Kitchen’s rice bowls are *chefs kiss* and Sweet Rice Street Eats has the freshest hot food since our mama’s kitchen. We love it here!

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Alexandra Arce M.D. Her supportive mentorship throughout my educational journey and entrepreneurial endeavors has made a significant impact on my life, and I’m forever grateful.
