We had the good fortune of connecting with Jen Chavez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jen, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success has been consistency, community, and connection with my clients. I’ve learned that showing up with the same level of quality, care, and heart every single time builds trust that lasts far beyond one session. I invest in building real relationships, not just taking pretty pictures, because I want my clients to feel seen, valued, and celebrated. Over time, that consistency has created a community of people who know they can count on me, and that connection is the heartbeat of my brand.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart is the way I combine genuine connection with my clients, a creative eye for storytelling, and a commitment to consistently delivering an experience they can trust. I’m most proud of how far I’ve come and the fact that I can now share my knowledge with others through classes and mentorships. This journey has been filled with long days, late nights, and plenty of trial and error, but it’s also been shaped by the support of an incredible community that has cheered me on along the way.

It hasn’t been easy. There have been seasons of doubt, overwhelm, and feeling like the finish line kept moving. What’s carried me through is understanding that being an entrepreneur is a long game. You have to commit to never quitting, to showing up consistently, and to giving yourself grace when things don’t go as planned.

I want the world to know that my brand is rooted in connection, creativity, and community. Every client I work with is more than just a booking; they’re a part of my story, and I aim to make them feel seen and celebrated. My hope is that the work I create not only captures beautiful moments but also inspires others to keep chasing their own dreams with persistence and heart.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting for a long weekend, I’d make sure every day was packed with a little bit of everything; good food, relaxation, and fun. We’d kick things off with brunch at Union Bear, my favorite place to start the day with amazing food and great conversation. One afternoon, we’d indulge in a little pampering at the PGA Spa for some much-needed relaxation.

For dinner, we’d head to Shoji in Frisco, my go-to sushi spot, and then spend the evening at the Boardwalk in Plano, enjoying the waterfront vibe and grabbing a drink. We’d also make a stop at Legacy West in Plano for a mix of shopping and dining, the perfect spot to explore and soak in the atmosphere.

It would be a weekend full of delicious meals, relaxing moments, and plenty of time to laugh, talk, and make memories together.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d love to dedicate my shoutout to my husband Adrian Chavez, my number one supporter, encourager, and steady voice of reason in every season. He’s been there from the very beginning, cheering me on, picking me up when I’ve stumbled, and reminding me why I started. I also have to give credit to my incredible photography circle, a group of talented, generous creatives who have inspired me, challenged me, and shared their wisdom freely. Their encouragement and community have been a huge part of my growth, both as a photographer and as a business owner.
