We had the good fortune of connecting with JD Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi JD, we’d love to hear what makes you happy.
What makes me happy, is seeing the success and accompiishments of my peers and everyone in the arts industry! Also, I’m a music lover and a foodie…so really good music and good food makes me happy! That’s why my brand is called The Sunday Takeout lol!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The Sunday Takeout provides hosting, media coverage/interviews, and promo/advertising services…I also sing! So it’s like creative arts all in one stop! What sets me apart from others is, I’m innovative, consistent, passionate, and creative! It was not easy, but I didn’t give up! I persevered through those obstacles that I faced and kept a positive attitude about it!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would tell them to check out The Free Man Cafe. That venue provides great food, drinks, and live music 7 days a week! Also check out the AT&T Discovery District where you can explore the arts and see live shows! Lastly, check out Fusion Vibes Kitchen! It is a lounge and restaurant that caters to all with private parties, open mic nights, great food, drinks, and awesome service!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate a shoutout to a good friend/brother, James Brown! He has a brand called “Music Saved My Life”. It is very impactful and allows artists to express themselves and tell a story on how music saved their lives!
