We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmine Burchett and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jasmine, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Honestly, starting this business was not the intention. My main focus was finding a way to repair my health without doctors and medicines involved. As I started sharing my journey with others, more people wanted to inquire about my juicing. I’ve always had a passion for helping others, and this turned out to be my way of doing that. The business aspect came about when I needed to regulate ordering, customer service, and marketing. Then it became a business idea for me to create Jooz by Jazz which is focused on providing quality juice to jump start the health journey of those willing to take that step.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have been in the business corporate world for over 10 years now, and have my BBA in Management. I knew I always wanted to be some sort of manager, a leader, someone who could help others reach heights. It has always been imperative to me to help my people succeed if I have the ability to do so. Little did I know the way for this to happen was to start a business. If you asked 18 year old me who was fresh out of high school as a newly single mother, I would never have thought I would be to where I am now. My parents instilled in me the importance of work ethic, making sure you have your own and can support yourself. So that is what I did. I worked 2 jobs at times, full time student, full time parent, failing was not an option. Things were hard, but I could not let that stop me. Fast forward to now as just entered my 30s, I’ve learned that wherever I am in life at a specific time is where I am supposed to be. It will all work out in due time as long as I continue laying the right foundation. So no need to worry. Jooz By Jazz was created for the person who is an over achiever, a risk taker, a busy body, a parent, a spouse, and sometimes just a downright exhausted person who just wants to continuing going and growing into the best version of themselves. Because I too am that person. A better you, starts with a healthy you.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love splitting my time between Forth Worth, Dallas, and everywhere in between. I do my best to stay in the know of fun events, like concerts and plays. A few restaurants that have me in a chokehold right now are Yardbird and Kitcken & Kocktails for sure. Pangea is a great spot to eat as well. Going to any current art exhibits at a museum is top of the list. I love fun adventures and outdoors so the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens, Grandscape in Plano, water parks in Arlington are all destinations of interest.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would not be here without God first and foremost. My health journey has not been easy, and I am glad He turned it around for me to use as my testimony. My wonderful parents and their health knowledge of being in the medical field of over 50 years between them contributed to the great healthy selections I have available, they are the real MVPs. My friends and family, I am truly blessed to have a circle of support and those who believe in my vision and what I am building. I am blessed beyond measure, that’s for sure!
