We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmine Anderson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jasmine, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I am from a small town in VA. My background and upbringing impacted me in so many ways. For starters I was raised by a single mom who was very hardworking, independent and someone who never gave up. I watched my mom face so many trials and tribulations but that woman never gave up and always made ends meet! Growing up with a very strong independent woman molded me into a very strong independent woman myself.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I can honestly say I am most proud of where I am today. I am a young professional who is striving for greatness. I work extremely hard day in and day out. I have goals set that I plan to accomplish. I got to where I am today with a lot of hard work, dedication, support. I am also a person who believes in God and is very spiritual. Positivity, faith and prayer also got me to where I am today. Nothing in life worth having is never easy. With that being said of course I have faced many challenges. Facing challenges have forced me to learn some lessons along the way. One of the biggest lessons I can say I have learned is to chase your dreams no matter what others may think or feel. Also never allow anyone to make you feel less than what you are and strive to be. I want the world to know that I am human I make mistakes, I’m not perfect and I am unique in my own ways.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I had a whole week off and my best friend was coming to visit we both would have the time of our lives and create tons of memories. I love taking pictures and creating memories. One thing for sure I’m going to take pictures. We would go to tons of restaurants and bars. I love to eat and drink and so do the people I associate with. Therefore, food and drinks is an absolute must. We would also party! I love to party! I have to admit I have slowed down a bunch within the last year or so but I will always love to party. We would go to some places in deep ellum as well as the gayborhood in Dallas. I would also take us to other events or concerts that may be going on during their stay here. No matter what we do we would be having lots of fun and creating tons of memories

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout goes to my mother! I am so thankful for her. She has always supported me! She is my backbone! I can always count on her and she will always be there no matter the time or the place. She is the reason I keep going each and every day! As long as I live I will continue to make her proud.

Another huge shoutout will have to go to my cousin Diamond! She is not only family but she is my best friend. She has always supported my goals and decisions. She has always been there for me no matter the situation! She has been there for me in some of the lowest points of my life. I
can always rely on her for support no matter what it is.
