We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaquita Rideaux and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jaquita, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was rooted in my lifelong desire to be an entrepreneur. I wanted the freedom to choose my own workdays and hours, allowing me to be flexible for my son. It was important for me to be able to take vacations without needing approval and to ensure I never missed any of my son’s games. This drive for flexibility, independence, and the ability to prioritize my family was the core motivation behind my decision to start my own business.
What should our readers know about your business?
I have a credit repair business and a tax preparation business. Additionally, I invest in real estate and run a logistics business. What sets me apart from others is my genuine desire to see others succeed. I love helping people and, to this end, offer valuable content like eBooks, webinars, and workshops to educate my clients. I provide a range of services that cater to all aspects of my clients’ needs, and I establish trust through honesty, integrity, and transparency. I’m committed to retaining clients and building long-term relationships by offering competitive pricing without compromising on quality, and by providing flexible pricing options to accommodate different needs.
I am most proud when I receive positive feedback from my clients. It’s incredibly rewarding to hear how my services have significantly improved their financial situations, and receiving heartfelt testimonials from satisfied clients brings me great joy. Watching my business evolve from a small operation to a larger, successful entity has been gratifying, especially as I’ve expanded my team with skilled professionals who share my vision and commitment. Moreover, I take pride in providing valuable educational content that empowers my clients to make informed financial decisions, and in hosting successful workshops and webinars that demystify complex tax issues.
My journey to where I am today has been fueled by an eagerness and willingness to help others. I started with a vision to assist people with their credit, taxes, and financial planning, taking necessary courses and obtaining certifications to ensure I had the knowledge and credentials needed to provide expert services. While it wasn’t always easy—I faced initial hurdles like understanding complicated tax laws and building a client base—I overcame these challenges through dedication, resilience, innovation, and a deep passion for helping others achieve financial stability.
I founded JRTC Financial Services with a mission to provide personalized, reliable, and efficient tax services. After an unsatisfactory experience with a credit repair company, I conducted my own research and successfully repaired my credit, which became a vital part of my business model. My journey from credit repair to obtaining a home loan added authenticity and credibility to my servicesI started by helping friends and family, gradually expanding my network through word of mouth and referrals. My personal journey of improving my own credit to get approved for a home loan became a cornerstone of my service offerings. I recall helping one of my best friends with her credit after successfully purchasing my home; she, later, bought her home as well, and that experience confirmed for me that I could help others achieve the same success.
My journey from credit repair to obtaining a home loan added authenticity and credibility to my services. I built a team of skilled professionals who share my commitment to quality service, diversified our offerings with services like eBooks and workshops, and stayed updated with the latest tax laws and financial trends to ensure we provide the best advice and services.
The journey wasn’t easy; it required dedication, long hours, continuous learning, and overcoming setbacks such as initial rejections and market competition. However, my passion for helping others achieve financial success kept me going. My story is one of resilience, innovation, and a deep commitment to client satisfaction and empowerment. What I want the world to know about my brand is that we are dedicated to providing top-notch financial services and ongoing education to help our clients succeed. The positive impact we have on their financial well-being is what drives us every day.”

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Yes, I have to give a shoutout to God first because He is the head of my life. I would also like to shout out my son, who is exceptionally wise for his age. He motivates me and keeps me grounded at all times, and he sees me working hard with my businesses every day. My Mom and Dad have always been my pillars of support and motivation in everything I have done. I want to give a big shoutout to my sisters, Melondy and Lakeada. They always support and motivate me in everything I do, no matter what ideas I come up with—they tell me I can do anything and to go for it. Additionally, a book that has inspired me is ‘Baby Steps Millionaires’ by Dave Ramsey.”
