We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaquelin Gutierrez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jaquelin, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Taking risk has opened my mind to do other things and do more in life. I took a risk on becoming a independent nail technician and I’ve learned that there’s so much more out there for me! It’s open my mind to other things that I’d never would of thought of if I didn’t take risk!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Being a nail artist makes me feel free! art never dies there is always something new and creative you can do with art! Nail trends never stop! Therefore you can always learn something new. But one thing that has been a rough patch in my career, is finding consistent clients on my own, you can only promote so much and control so much when it comes to clientele. So my focus now isn’t so much on how much money I can make doing nails. It’s simply having fun, learning and growing from it. Then I’ll see what life has to bring from it!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If you come to Dallas and want somewhere to eat and be outdoors I’d recommend downtown Dallas or uptown they have tons of places to eat and hang out. People walk around and walk there dogs, walk to restaurants to or bars to have drinks!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My children’s father deserves a lot of credit for my success, from the beginning of my career 3 years ago. Taking one for the team always! Making sure our children are taken care of while I attend school and follow my dreams. Til this day he’s here for anything I need to follow my dreams.
