Meet Janae Samuel | Aesthetician, Laser Tech & Pro Makeup

We had the good fortune of connecting with Janae Samuel and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Janae, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I am very passionate about overall wellness and what we put on our bodies. I couldn’t find any spa that genuinely focused on actually clean skincare, and that would put the emphasis on the whole person, inside and out. I knew the quality of service I wanted to provide and the type of atmosphere, and I couldn’t find it. So I created it.

What should our readers know about your business?
I think what sets me apart is I focus on holistic skincare. So not only are the products I use, the best of the best and botanically based, but I also help people with other tools like diet, hormonal related issues, helping support your body with essential oils, etc. I’m not a doctor, and I can’t cure anything, but I love being able to help people, and give them the tools to feel more confident and healthy.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Ah I love this question, because I love to host people and make them Texans. So I would say for sure book The Wilde House through Airbnb (shameless plug, I am the owner) , and go to first Monday in Canton! After a few days hidden away in the pines of East Texas, I would say come to Dallas stay at the Virgin hotel, grab coffee and breakfast at Ascension, and some lunch at velvet taco, and treat yourself to Nick & Sams for dinner! I would say get weird and go explore Deep Ellum, and if you had the time head over to Fort Worth for some classic stockyard action and Reatas rooftop for some yummy cocktails and bites. I’m a foodie. What can I say.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to shout out my father, Andrew Samuel, he is a wildly successful entrepreneur, and who I can thank for giving me that mindset. I’d like to shout out my dear friend Danielle Doty who helped encourage me to go back to school to be licensed and supported me on the journey to opening up my own spa and my newest business venture, a rental property, The Wilde House! She’s a badass mama/ realtor. Maddy Hazen of Pais and Haze as well! She is the genius behind the branding for Well Beyond Beauty, and the new branding for the Wilde House. She is not only a business partner of mine but an amazing friend.
