Meet Jamie Woodliff | Owner at Joy-Full Balloon Boutique

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jamie Woodliff and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jamie, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I chose a creative career path because it’s fun! It allows me to do something different every day. I use balloons in all of my creations, but I love that they’re customized and personalized so each one is different from the last. I’m able to mix my creativity with what my clients have in mind to make something extra special for their celebrations and special occasions. Getting to play a part in these happy times in people’s lives and seeing the smiles on their faces when they pick up their orders truly brings me joy!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The primary focus of my business is creating stuffed bobo balloon designs. These can be filled with all sorts of fun items like plush toys, “floating” gift cards or photos, confetti, and hanging infant outfits just to name a few. They can also be arranged in many ways that can incorporate fresh flowers or larger gifts and can stay inflated for months unlike traditional latex balloons. These are really unique gifts to be able to give to those you love and are great for using as centerpieces and displays as well. They can be made to be bright and fun or to have a more classy and luxurious look. I love that I’m able to personalize and truly customize each one to make them extra special for each client. They’re perfect for any occasion, and I’m really excited about some new ideas that I’ll be adding soon!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would definitely recommend spending a day in Clearfork in Fort Worth. There are lots of cute boutiques to visit, great places to eat like Doc B’s or B&B Butchers, and a cute gelato shop, Amarino’s, that makes flower petals out of your gelato flavors.

The University Park Village Area in Ft. Worth is great to visit as well. Ascension is a great place to start for coffee and breakfast. There are tons of great places to shop in this area. You have to try Van Leeuwen for ice cream while you’re there! They have some really unique and amazing flavors!

You can’t visit Fort Worth and not see the stockyards. It’s a fun area to take someone who’s never been. Joe T Garcia’s is great for lunch or dinner while you’re there. They have the best patio!

I would also highly recommend trying the best tea on earth at HTeaO! They have so many flavors to choose from! My favorite is their coconut tea.  There are several locations around the Ft. Worth area.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I truly credit all of my success in this business along with where I am in life to the Lord. His Word tells us that “He is where our help comes from”, and it’s so true! He’s been with me in every step of this journey of starting a new business and continues to bless me with amazing opportunities like this interview. I’m also grateful for my husband who encouraged me to step out and give this business a shot.
