Meet Jamie Love | Restauranter, Food Truck Owner, Caterer, Business and Education Consultant, & Tax Business Owner

Starting my own business has always been a dream of mine!  I witnessed many of my associates with thriving businesses and I admired them for having the courage to start their own business; I took mental notes of best practices. Although I obtained a Master’s degree in Business Administration; I lacked the experience and tools to start and maintain a successful business. During the Covid -19 Pandemic I decided that this was the best time to start my business full -time and ultimately become a serial entrepreneur. I possessed not only the tenacity, but the desire to create a successful business. I thoroughly researched my business industry, target audience, and created a business plan. I also conducted a business analysis on my product and and how I would reach consumers. Jae Chatty’s Cafe, LLC was created and launched our meal prep for busy working adults and student meals for working parents that had children attending school from home. We later offered catering services for small events.

I was blessed to be a teacher in the inaugural class of David W. Carter High School Collegiate Academy teaching College Prep and AVID. It is a passion of mine to assist young adults in the preparation for the  REAL world and that is how Chatman Consulting Group , LLC was formed in 2020 to provide my college boot camp and mentoring program to area high school students. I have had the opportunity to partner with numerous area school districts in which I provided test prep, college boot camp, and mentoring (She Thought She Could, So She Did).

In 2020, Jae Chatty’s Café, LLC was established with Fish Fridays and Soul Food Sundays. Those two days were such a success that we branched out to catering corporate events, weddings, baby showers and eventually purchased a food truck. Jae Chatty’s Cafe, LLC  has grown in its popularity and provides lunch and catering for large (200 plus guest) corporate events, lunch to sports teams, church events, sports banquets, birthday celebrations, baby showers, and weddings.

There are so many people that I want to thank for their support while I’ve been on this entrepreneurial journey. I want to thank one of my oldest friend Zaincorie Taylor-Smith for always believing in me and allowing me to present business ideas, marketing strategies, and listening ear. She has consistently helped me at my restaurant and food truck in every capacity. I want to thank my Delta Sigma Theta, Inc. Sorority members for consistently hiring my company for catering and food truck services for their special events. I want to thank all of Jae Chatty’s Cafe, LLC customers who have come from all over the metroplex to support my business. Lastly, but not least, I want to thank my children who have tirelessly helped me promote and worked catering and food truck events. Stay tune for our new Oak Cliff location opening early Summer 2024!
