We had the good fortune of connecting with JaKari Bradford and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi JaKari, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Well the first thought that started it all was “how can I create generational wealth?” I look at my family around me and for the most part everyone is doing well for themselves but I feel as if I’m the black sheep of the family and with that mentality I want to set my kids up for success and leave them with something that can put them ahead

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m unique there’s no one that can do things how I would or think how I do. I’m self aware of myself which is what most people think they are but continue to follow the same patterns. I have respect for anyone that’s willing to do what we do in the ring and treats it with the same respect. I’ve learned early to put my pride aside, enjoy the journey, to not take myself to serious and most importantly to love myself

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Obviously first on the list would be to come to my matches lol but fun fact I’m a huge seafood lover so Shell Shack, Red Claw would come up, any place with crab legs you have my money. Somewhere nature really shines I love going outside and walking through the woods on a trail just being outdoors and a sunny day is something different

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
