Hi Jaidyn, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was creating a brand and positive space where people can feel comfortable and glamours! I wanted to provided unique and trendy pieces at an affordable price.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Owning a business is not for the weak! I started my business my last semester of college. At first I thought it would be easier for me because I was business major, the President of my business fraternity, I put a lot of thought in my original business plan, and I am perfectionist with a fine eye for detail.

I quickly realized that I was wrong. Just because I went to college and studied business doesn’t equal a successful business. In order for my business to grow I had to pour into my business. I started researching more, finding free seminars and resources to help my business expand. At times I felt like it was hard and overwhelming but it was because I hadn’t educated myself enough! Entrepreneurs are always on the clock! Being a business owner is 24/7. You don’t get to have bad days, an attitude, or even off days! One bad review or interaction can jeopardize your whole foundation. I had to learn that it was okay to make mistakes and your going to make mistakes! However, mistakes help you grow and get to the next level.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Me and my friends love getting dressed up and taking pictures and having a good time.

I would take my friends to art museum my favorite museum is the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. They always have such cool collections and one of my favorite artists Kaws has collaborated with them a lot!

The Soiree Coffee Bar and Hero are my two favorite brunch places in Dallas. Soirée coffee bar is black owned and plays live music!

We would end the night at Harris House of Hero’s with some wings and hookah!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost I want to give thanks and glory to God and the support of my immediate family.

My Official Glam Girls also played a huge role in my success! It consisted of nine women, my Mom, Zakiya, Alexus, Jessica, Jaylah, Jasmyne, Raeven, Racheal, and Stephanie! They really helped me jump start my business and helped me reach out to different audiences! They supported me 100%! They were models, my marketing team, brand ambassador, my friends, support system, and my business partners all in one! I appreciate every single one of them. Each one brought something special to company.

My business fraternity, Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity Inc. also played a role in my success. They taught me how to be an effective leader and a business women. Which gave me an solid foundation to build upon.
