We had the good fortune of connecting with India Quezergue and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi India, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
The end goal of my career is not to intentionally have my name in billboards or to necessarily be “one of the greats” or to be considered a household name from either one of my art mediums, but to be the book you pick up on the coffee table of your home when you finally put down your phone. My end goal is to attract and inspire those with or without artistic background, for people to view my work and to simply feel something. My end goal that I want for my career is to be happy with my work, from all of my art mediums, and to know that nothing I did or created was perfect.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m an artist, photographer, model, stylist, DJ, creative director, graphic designer, and more. What sets me apart from others is my drive to get better within every medium I am a part of, and not superficially, but rather to learn, and not just from “mistakes”, but experiences. I got to where I am today through being a very stubborn person and relentlessly overachieving with taking up as many mediums as I have now. And when I say stubborn, I mean being inspired and curating a creative board for a shoot I spontaneously thought of, even though I may have an exam due at 11:59 pm on a Tuesday night. And it wasn’t necessarily easy nor hard, just more so something I choose to go through every day. Granted, I haven’t had a steady flow of income, or the fact that I’ve never had a car to transport me to shoots or gigs. Yet, I am blessed with friends who have helped me with those bumps in the road, whether it’s giving me a ride to wherever the case may be or being blessed with somehow still earning/receiving money without having a job since 2023. So within that, what I’ve learned is to be grateful, humble, and remain stubborn. I want the world to be captivated by the art I produce and give out to the world, in the hope they feel something.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The places I’d take them to eat would definitely be Dino’s Subs in Arlington, Rodeo Goat, and Egg Bar Brunch & Bar. For drinks and a great time, I’d say LadyLove Loung & Sound or Double D’s. To hang out I’d definitely go to some of my favorite thrift shops like Fetch and I’d also take them to Cidercade.
