We had the good fortune of connecting with Ilia Barreto and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ilia, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thoughts about starting my own business started when I came from Puerto Rico in 2016 with a dream in my heart. We had been doing since 2015 everything online, dance classes, ministering people, and worship through dance so many years and when I came to Fort Worth something came out from me , like a bravery though! I cam do it! And I did!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I have a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration. Actually I’m dedicated as a Pastor and Director in Avivafire Dance School Dallas FW , Avivafire Ministry worldwide

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I think Fort Worth Downtown, stockyards, and Chinese garden are my favorite places. I really love!! Hard 8 and the brisket from there its pretty cool!! Obviously shopping in Tangar outlets !

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate it to every volunteer, staff, teacher, students that are supporting Avivafire Dance School. We are a non profit organization for Hispanic people here in Fort Worth. Also I want to say thank you to everyone who follow us internationally! Our success is because of you!
