We had the good fortune of connecting with Honie Gold and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Honie, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I honestly think that my career path chose me . When I was younger I was always writing , constantly. Whether it was a poem or a song . I just always had a pen in my hand , since I was eight . Creating images through words . And I loved it . So I just knew I had to pursue music and continue the journey.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I make music for the soul . Because it comes from the heart and my life experiences . If my fans can take anything from my music , I would want it to be that . It’s genuine and authentic . And that’s what’s setting me apart from other artist today . My music is real , and the world needs to hear it .

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Down Town Dallas is always a sight to see . Being born and raised , down here in Texas . You see a lot of stuff , but there’s nothing like walking around Deep Ellum or going to eat inside the ball , in down town . It’s pretty cool . But , if you wanna be a thousand, I would go to “ El Taquitos “ in East Dallas , way before doing any of the fancy stuff .

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I wanna shout out my family . Especially my brother , Lord Simmy . He has always been a primary supporter with my music & encouraged me to never stop .
