We had the good fortune of connecting with Chasiti Hill and Ashli Jackson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chasiti and Ashli, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
We both have passion for decorating and making visions come to life. Our family has always been very big on birthdays, so we always strive to make them special. We started out decorating parties for our children and other family members and then things really just took off. Family members started to refer us to other people, and our clientele continued to grow. We started posting photos of our products and then we started to receive orders at an overwhelming rate. At that point we decided it was time to take the next step and transform our passion into profit.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
H&J Designs specializes in offering a budget for every dream. We work with our clients to customize packages just for them that meets their budget and exceeds their expectations. We are successful because we listen to our clients, learn from our mistakes, and constantly look for ways to improve our craft. It has not been an easy road, to formulate the best pricing scales, word contracts correctly for the best outcomes, and learn how to stick to time constraints but we have done it. We want the world to know that we genuinely love what we do, and when we are planning and designing events, we do them with precision and love!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Here is what a typical week would look like in the life of H&J

Monday- Home cooked meal and Channel Surfing
Tuesday-Tacos and Tequila
Wednesday- Dance Class with a glass of wine to end the night
Thursday- Karaoke Night
Friday- Good music and nice drinks. with live bands in Uptown Dallas
Saturday- Are mostly for events and dance competitions. If we are not competing, we love to watch the sport.
Sunday- We love a good brunch on Sundays at Social House
