We had the good fortune of connecting with HARTMANNI and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi HARTMANNI, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk is everything! Anything worthwhile involves some risk. It just so happens that a career in entertainment is probably one of the riskiest careers to chose because your income and value is largely based on what other people think of you. I embrace risk because I know it’s a necessity. The risks I take are calculated to some degree and not just a “fly by the seat of my pants” scenario. My greatest risk was moving from a comfortable life, my family, and friends in Dallas, TX to Los Angeles to further my music career. Half of that battle was just determining whether to go or not and then getting there. Upon arriving in LA, I soon found an incredible community of creative and supportive people. Moving to the West Coast was undoubtably the riskiest, yet most rewarding thing I’ve ever done and it has lead to so many beautiful relations, memories, and opportunities. I would venture to say that if a creative person is not constantly taking risks in their pursuit of a career, then they probably aren’t giving it everything it needs to make it worth while and long lasting. TAKE RISKS! It’s a challenge but if you REALLY want it you’ll reap the greatest rewards.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m very excited to announce the release of my 4th single on June 24th! The song is called “Livin’ In The City” and I wrote it about my first impressions of Los Angeles when I moved there back in 2017. I was mesmerized by the lights, the sounds, the people, and the abundance of things to do and places to go! The song is a fun upbeat rock song that embraces the energy of LA, perfect for a summertime jam.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If you’re visiting DFW you’re definitely going to be eating a lot! The Ft. Worth Stockyards are a must if you want that Cowboy town experience. Riskey’s BBQ is my favorite spot in Ft. Worth. Most steak and BBQ places are worth going to around here, but there are also a lot of delicious international restaurants. Dimassi’s and India 101 are my top choices for Mediterranean and Indian food, and they are buffets. Cafe Izmir is my favorite spot on lower Greenville. Milk Cream is always a destination for friends who come into town. The donut/ice cream sandwich is to die for! Klyde Warren Park and The Dallas Arboretum are fun places to walk around. A lot of restaurants and bars have live music during the week. Cidercade is a super fun place in the Design district where you play a $10 flat fee and you can play all the arcade games you want.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My parents have been my unwavering #1 support my whole life. I would not be where or who I am without their love, prayers, encouragement, and faith.
