Meet Haley Sigala

We had the good fortune of connecting with Haley Sigala and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Haley, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
My goal is to transition from my current part-time photography status and finally step into becoming a full-time photographer. I dream of a future where I am fully immersed in capturing and celebrating the special moments of people’s lives – whether through weddings, engagements, or other artistic projects. Achieving this goal will not only fulfill my professional aspirations, but also allow me to dedicate my time and energy to perfecting my craft and building meaningful connections with my clients. Ultimately, I aim to create a lasting impact through my work, leaving behind beautiful art that reflects my passion and commitment to showcasing the beautiful moments in my clients lives.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As a wedding photographer, my art revolves around documenting weddings, engagements, and couples. What truly sets my work apart is the heartfelt connection I build with each couple, allowing me to document their love story in a way that is genuine to their relationship. I enjoy meeting new couples and discovering their individual stories fuels my passion and creativity, allowing me to craft images that are personal and reflective of their journey.
Getting to where I am today has required a lot of hard work and determination. The journey hasn’t been easy—it’s been filled with obstacles and steep learning curves, however, these challenges have shaped me into a more resilient and insightful photographer. One important lesson that I’ve learned is to embrace the fear of the unknown and take bold leaps of faith. You never know just how far you’ll make it if you don’t try!
I want the world to know that I pour my heart into every single frame, striving to create art and and experience that is truly exceptional. I want each couple to see their own beauty and love reflected in my work, to feel the depth of their emotions captured in every image. My goal is to have my photos be more than just photos—they are meant to be cherished memories you can treasure forever.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
To start our day, I’d take them to White Rock Coffee, one of my favorite spots. I think I might be their favorite customer haha! It’s a quick stop, but they serve some of the best coffee around and their chocolate croissants are simply amazing! I’d also love to take them to downtown Dallas. The city’s skyline is breathtaking, a must-see when visiting the city. We could stroll around, taking in the stunning views and exploring the vibrant scene. Dallas is rich in history and culture, and there’s always something interesting to discover. We might even stop by reunion tower to get the best view around!
For our midday activity, I’d suggest taking a pottery class. Pottery is a personal favorite hobby of mine, and even though I’m still honing my skills, I find the creative process incredibly fulfilling. It’s a great way to unwind and enjoy some hands-on creativity together. To wrap up our day, I’d take them to WooMeOk, my favorite Korean barbecue restaurant. It’s a place I’ve become quite obsessed with lately, and everyone I bring there falls in love with it. The experience of cooking your own food might seem a bit daunting at first, but it’s actually the best part! It’s not just a meal; it’s an interactive, fun experience that makes for great memories.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to my husband, Isaiah, who has been an incredible source of unwavering support throughout my journey as a photographer. His encouragement, belief in my vision, and tireless support have been instrumental in helping me pursue my deepest passion. Whether it’s been through late-night brainstorming sessions, being my second shooter on wedding days, or just offering a listening ear when I needed it most, his presence has been a cornerstone of my progress. His love and confidence in me has not only strengthen my spirit but has also been a driving force behind my determination to turn my photography into a full-time career. I’m deeply grateful for his role in this journey and for the way he has consistently stood by my side.
