We had the good fortune of connecting with Greggory Covington aka Eclipse Darkness and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Greggory, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Life is all about taking risks. I took a risk on myself 5 years ago when I left my job. I often take calculated risks. It’s played a tremendous role in my career. It’s allowed me to continue to grow and learn the ins and outs of the production music industry. I thank God for all of my blessings.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As an artist and business owner, I’m in complete control of my career path. Having my own production music company and owning 6 publishing companies definitely set me apart from others. I am most proud of the positive community of creatives I’ve created within Oh I Like That Music. It’s amazing seeing us come together to build a music library available for media usage. It’s taken a lot of sacrifice and hard work to get where I am today. Relationships have been key to my success. Huge shoutout to Lucas Spry with Universal Production Music for believing in me and helping me make a name for myself in production music. Along the way to my success I’ve learned that if you want something to happen and get done you have to take action. Don’t wait on anyone. I want the world to know that Oh I Like That Music is a place where independent creatives can come together and create with fair opportunities to advance their career. We have the highest quality of music for Tv and film.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Since I’m a huge fan of bowling we would definitely stop by the bowling alley in Addison at Bowlero. Since my best friends enjoy my creative process we would spend a day at the studio making hits!! I love to eat at Bjs Brewhouse so we are stuffing our face there with their amazing entrees and salads with a famous pizookie at the end. We would have to stop by Toyota Music Factory to check out some entertainment.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Thank you to all of my loved ones, supporters and fans! Special shout-out to BMGPM for believing in Eclipse Darkness and Oh I Like That Music. Also shoutout to Amphibious Zoo Music. They helped me land one of my most notable placements with the NBA. Shoutout to Sprite & Hennessy for being a huge support system in my career and recognizing my contributions to my community.
