We had the good fortune of connecting with Giselle Rodriguez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Giselle, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted to make all my clients feel and look beautiful while building relationships with them and long lasting friendships. I also wanted to control my income and have the opportunity to grow at my discretion.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Any Business is very challenging including starting off. I am a year and a half into my business and it has came with many blessings and challenges. I love the relationships I build with my costumers and I always want to make sure they love the hair that they are paying for. Hair is a luxury and I always want my clients to feel beautiful and comfortable in my chair. Im very aware that’ my clients have a huge selection of stylist to go to and I appreciate them so much for always allowing me to be myself and continuing to support me in my Journey.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
To have a great time I would take my friends to Trinity Grove / Bishop arts area to have a cute drink and walk around. Me and my friends are boujee so definitely shopping at North park or any beautiful finds we love. A game night get together with some drinks, snacks, and a movie. Friendships mean everything so it’s always great to have a good time with the people you love.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My parents for paying for my education and encouraging me to follow my passion. I also owe a lot to our salon owner and our fellow stylists. Our owner motivates us and promotes our work through her social media as well as schedules classes for us to continue to learn and grow in our field. Our stylist all help each and provide great tips on how to go about different services.
