We had the good fortune of connecting with Giang Do and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Giang, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Initially I wanted to be financially free and have flexibility and not be tied down to a single job. I knew there would be a lot of risk involved starting a business and things could go unexpectedly such as losing my investment, time and energy put into it. I saw lots of similar businesses not focusing on quality work and customers experience, so I took the opportunity and start my Nail Salon.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My salon is built on a foundation of quality, cleanliness, and exceptional client care. While those principles may sound simple, executing them consistently is a daily challenge that requires focus, training, and a strong commitment to standards. The journey hasn’t been easy, I’ve faced many unexpected situations and had to learn through experience. I’ve read many business books, but the most valuable lessons came from listening to my clients, adapting to change, and staying true to my vision. I’m proud to have created a space where people feel relaxed, respected, and confident. My goal is to continue growing a brand that reflects integrity, creativity, and care in every detail.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I prefer to show my best friend the real daily life of the community around us. I’m not the type of person who thinks everything has to be fancy. What matters more to me is that they experience the true quality of life, enjoying simple things, connecting with people, and seeing how we make the best of what we have, no matter where we are.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give my shoutout to the books that helped me think different, especially Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. This book teach me how important it is to believe in myself, stay focused, and have clear goals. There is so much information out there about business, but I learn to choose only what is useful for my own salon. I try to build a place with care, creativity, and good service, and this book helped me stay strong in my vision.
