We had the good fortune of connecting with Georgette Rojas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Georgette, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
The word “risk” can best be described as “faith,” as the Bible encourages us to walk by faith and not by sight. When we walk by faith, we place our trust in what God is telling us to do for our ministry, rather than solely relying on what we see in the present moment. In 2018, I took a step of faith and started my women’s ministry called Fashioned By God, despite having little influence and a small audience. I had to exercise my faith and believe that people would support and attend my Bible studies and conferences. Through consistency and perseverance, my ministry began to grow.

Stepping out of our comfort zones and taking risks is essential for our spiritual growth. God always calls us to venture beyond what is familiar and comfortable because it is in those moments that we truly experience the fullness of life. It is through taking risks and relying on our faith that we can see God’s hand at work, leading us to new levels of purpose.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a Minister, the Founder of Fashioned By God, an entrepreneur of Fashioned By God Co Apparel, and the author of the book “Crowned.” Ministry has been an integral part of my life since childhood, but at the age of 18, I felt a strong calling to pursue ministry for myself, driven by the profound impact it has on people’s lives when they encounter Jesus. To equip myself further, I attended Texas Bible Institute, Christ for the Nations, and The King’s University, where I also had the privilege of serving as a former student body President. These educational experiences were instrumental in nurturing my calling.

Ministry and the platform it provides are far from glamorous; they involve significant behind-the-scenes work and daily sacrifices. It requires laying down one’s life to serve others. Throughout my journey, I have encountered challenges, faced rejection, and experienced disappointments. However, in every trial, I have remained steadfast because God has been my source of strength, comfort, and unwavering support.

Fashioned By God is a ministry dedicated to serving women in discovering their purpose and embracing their true identity in Christ. Many women have battled fear, loneliness, and rejection, often losing sight of their inherent worth. God has called me to be a voice in their lives, and over the past five years of operating this ministry, I have witnessed transformative change in countless women. They have rediscovered their healing, joy, and stepped into the fullness of their God-given purpose. Some have even started their own ministries and businesses.

What sets my brand apart is our commitment to providing women with a fun and girly experience. Our events are designed to be like a girls’ night out, but with Jesus at the center. We host gatherings in my home and other girly venues across the DFW metroplex. We create a welcoming atmosphere with selfie opportunities, a photo backdrop, and refreshments. Women feel loved, accepted, and lasting friendships are formed at Fashioned By God.

Engaging in ministry brings me immense joy because witnessing the lasting impact it has on people’s lives is truly remarkable.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We will start by visiting the Galleria Mall for a shopping spree, followed by a trip downtown to the new spot at AT&T for a delicious meal.

The next day, we will indulge in a day of relaxation and rejuvenation at Spa Castle, where we can unwind and engage in meaningful conversations. We can also enjoy a delightful meal at the spa.

To continue our shopping adventures, we will head to Redefined Coffee and explore the Grapevine Mills for more great finds.

On a Saturday, we will spend the day by the pool in my local area, and in the evening, I will take her to XOXO Dining, one of my favorite girly places, for a memorable dining experience.

On Sunday, we will attend my church, Social Dallas, and after the service, we will visit Klyde Warren Park to savor delicious treats from the food trucks and take a leisurely stroll.

Another day, I will gather with her and some friends go to Bishop Arts Area, followed by a visit to Trinity Grove where we can enjoy food and games!

Since I love taking pictures, we will embark on a city-wide photo shoot adventure, capturing memorable moments, and we will end the day at TORCHYS, for great tacos!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I humbly acknowledge and give all the glory to God for His incredible presence and blessings in my life. I firmly believe that I am where I am today because of His unwavering favor and guidance. Next, I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to my parents, who have been a constant source of love and support throughout my journey. Their unwavering belief in me has been a driving force in my life. I would also like to give a special shoutout to my boyfriend, Michel Maza, for his unwavering presence by my side. He constantly encourages me to dream big and pursue my dreams with passion and determination. I am truly grateful for their love and support.
