Meet Gabrionna Schuman | Hairstylist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Gabrionna Schuman and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Gabrionna, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
Sometimes it’s hard to stay true to yourself and your message when you are on the ride. Never forget who gave you your flowers before you thought you even deserved them.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is a reflection of my passion for creativity and individuality. What sets me apart is my unique approach to hairstyling, where I blend modern techniques with personalized experiences. I believe every client deserves a one-of-a-kind look that enhances their beauty. I’m particularly proud of my journey into the fashion world, which took off with my participation in New York Fashion Week and has since expanded to Paris and Dubai.
Getting to this point wasn’t easy. I faced numerous challenges, from self-doubt in a competitive industry to the pressure of constantly evolving trends. However, perseverance and resilience helped me overcome these obstacles. I learned the importance of believing in my vision, seeking mentorship, and embracing every experience as a learning opportunity.
Most importantly, I want the world to know that my brand stands for empowerment and self-expression. I aim to inspire others to embrace their uniqueness and pursue their passions fearlessly. My dedication to crafting exceptional hair experiences is not just about aesthetics; it’s about helping people feel confident and beautiful.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Growing up, my aunt was a hairstylist, and I always thought it was so cool that she got to chat with her friends and play with hair. I remember being amazed when she told me that she got paid for it and that, if I wanted to, I could also pursue a career in hairstyling. Along the way, many hairstylists have shaped me into the stylist I am today, including Scott Cole, Nina Prongay, Paula Peralta, Samantha Bujarski, Carly Mongeau, and Falak Amaar. They all saw something in me that I didn’t see in myself, and for that, I will always be thankful to them.
