We had the good fortune of connecting with Gabriela Romero and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gabriela, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I believe that life should be all about taking risk. I used to work a normal 9-6 job and lashed on my free time. I’ve always been that person that strives to do more, if there is anything I could do to improve I will do it! so I decided to take that risk and quit my job to focus on my business full time. I am honestly happier and been building up my clientele

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a licensed esthetician, who loves to apply eyelash extensions! I do offer other services but I’ve always had a love for eyelashes, my passion started with strip lashes, I wore them before they started getting popular, I was known by everyone for my long eyelashes. Once I tried extensions for the first time I fell in love and loved the fact that they made me feel beautiful. Thats is what I love the most, seeing my clients happy and feeling their best. I am the most exited about the future and what else will I achieve. I got to where I am now, because of my passion and dedication I put into my business. I always listen to my clients, I try my best to satisfy each and everyone of them. It has not been an easy path, I’m still learning and trying to figure stuff out. I feel like some people don’t take the beauty industry seriously, they don’t consider it an actual job, but it is. As a business owner you don’t work an 8 hour shift, you work 24/7. There was times that I thought about giving up because of not having clients one day or having a bad week, but I’ve learned that’s what a business is all about, it’s not always going to be a good day. But you have to make the best out of it.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Honestly, my family have been my biggest supporters. Every time I would get a crazy idea my sisters would encourage me to do it. Whenever I would need a model to practice on they were the first ones to volunteer. My partner also deserves a shoutout for supporting me and always encouraging to keep going.
