We had the good fortune of connecting with Gabriel Sanders and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Gabriel, how do you think about risk?
Risk taking is another form of faith. The act of taking a risk for success which could possibly end in failure is a necessary part of being a business owner. Having a strong mind set, a will to be great along with confident in your work will limit the risk of failure. Not pursuing your dream is the biggest risk you can take. The fact of not knowing could be the worse feeling. We take risk daily without hesitating for everyday living. Taking a risk has allowed me to move my family from Mississippi to Texas and plant seeds along the way for future success for my kids. In order to experience a different life, we must live to be different. The options of failure are many but it never out weight the many options of success.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As an artist I have grown over the years in my custom graphics and t shirt business. My graphic design skills is the head of the operations. Creativity and my abilities to being custom ideas to life is what set me apart from others. Printing flyers, business cards, banners, and posters was my steps into the door. After that I advanced towards the custom shirt side. I had the ability to gain knowledge about different style of clothing and vinyl to making DTF and 3D print shirts. With time I begin to learn more about promoting, budgeting, providing great services and quality work.
Being an artist and advisor I value high quality customer service along with building trustworthy relationships with companies and people that would allow us both to grow. This played a major role being diverse and professional.
The journey is not easy but it’s your path that you have to take with your head up and chest out. Challenges are simply obstacles given to you to maximize your strength for the next opportunity in store. Best way to over come those battles is to not give you but Always Believe In Yourself.
The best lessons are going to be the test that turned into a testimony. When you use your problems solving skills you able to work under pressure. When you are passionate you will always find a way to make it work.
I hope my story and experiences become a shining light for that person who don’t have the confidence to believe in themselves. Let this be your motivation message to get up and make a difference for yourself and watch how you make a difference in someone’s else life.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When we have family and friends in from out of town we have to make sure everyone have fun. For the family activities we have to stop by places like Epic Water Park, David & Buster or Main Event. These are the places where you can have a great time with the family and have great food and drinks while during it. Everyone love shopping so checking out The Galleria & NorthPark Mall, they have great store and a lot of fun extra things to do like go to the movies or ice skating. For the adult that like to get out in the day time we can check out many of the local brunch spots in Deep Ellum where the scenery and beautifully filled with art sculptures, graffiti and murals. The vibes is an experience it self. An Uber to The Colony : Grandscape to get a view from the Ferris Wheel is epic. This also is a place you can spend hours due to all the activities, sightseeing and places to go visit. Waiting at Fuel city for some of the best tacos can be an event. You never know who you might see and what kind of cars might come through. Lastly we must visit Spa Castle or King Spa, we all need that self care and relaxation. I consider these places as must go when you have visitors. Dallas has a wide range of entertainment for everyone. Last but not least we have to visit Spa Castle or King Spa, we all need that self care and relaxation. I consider these places as must go when you have visitors. Keeps your from driving all over Dallas to enjoy yourself. Most places you can find yourself there for hours.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
God, My wife, kids, family and my hometown community deserves a huge shout out. I’m from Jackson, Mississippi ‘of course’ I lived in Georgetown “The Heart Of The City”. They have always been about love and support from the Party Events to the Georgetown Festivals to Lanier High School Homecomings. It’s in us to be great. I came from a place where we made the best of every opportunity. The goal was to use the education, discipline, hard work and skills I gained growing up and apply them to expand starting with Dallas. This is the village that help bring the best out of you.
