We had the good fortune of connecting with Fulisites “Fu” Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Fulisites “Fu”, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind the success of my brand is simply love and enjoyment. I genuinely love and enjoy creating press on nails! It started as a hobby throughout quarantine that turn into a true passion, and now small business. If you love and enjoy whatever you do, how can you not be successful?

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Along with being a press on nail artist, I am also a full time Accountant and Entrepreneur! After graduating from Stephen F. Austin State University, I started a bookkeeping business servicing small businesses! A year later, I landed an accountant position in the oil and gas industry. A couple years later, I migrated over to the healthcare industry. Anyone in the accounting field can tell you it’s definitely not easy, yet so rewarding. Being an accountant alone has taught me many skills that can be utilized within any business venture. Overall having financial literacy and business awareness is a plus.

When the pandemic hit and everyone went into lockdown in March 2020. I started creating my own press on nails. A year later my hobby turned into another business! Handling 2 businesses while being a full time accountant definitely brings plenty of challenges. I overcome them by simply pushing through. Whatever challenge arises, I take a moment to myself or to talk with a loved one to let the emotions flow. Anger, frustrations, etc. It’s hard to think through any challenge with a frustrated mind. Taking a moment to clear your mind does wonders, then I simply push through. If you just continue on, I promise you will always get through whatever is in the way. God wouldn’t throw things on you, that you weren’t built to handle. And every challenge gets handled.

Honestly, I’m usually always on go mode that I don’t stop and enjoy my accomplishments. But when I do get a moment to think about it… I am most proud about every step, stride, and accomplishment that has gotten me this far. From high school, to college, to various jobs, every single experience good and bad has played a part in where I am today. I’m proud of it all and even more excited for what’s to come.

A lesson that I learned is to take my time. It seems like we live in a very rushed society these days. Everyone wants everything quickly, right then and there. Especially within the social media world. Actually taking the time to think things through, research, learn, plan, and build something from nothing. Something that reflects your true interests. There’s a beauty in it many don’t see. Don’t rush, take your time.

The main thing I would like the world to know about my brand is that a lot of love, time, and energy is going into each product. This brand was built on integrity, hard work, and passion. I truly care about every product and it is a genuine joy for me to create for you.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oh that’s easy. Brunch! You can never go wrong with good food and mimosas! There’s a plethora of brunch places to choose from in Dallas. Of course stop by the Dallas Arboretum and the Museum of Art. Browse around Deep Ellum’s Outdoor Market. Possibly a nice spa day at Hiatus Spa and Retreat. I’ve partied enough in college so I would rather end the night at a steakhouse with a nice drink. Perry’s and Nick & Sams is always a hit.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Well for starters a big daily thanks is going out to God! He wakes me up every morning to even be able to do any of this, and that is already more than enough. All praise goes to him. Second, a huge thanks to my mother. She has really been a great example of a hard worker and strategic Entrepreneur all my life. I couldn’t ask for a better person to help guide me. Next, I would like to thank my best friends. If it wasn’t for them pushing me to even start selling press ons, I would have kept this hobby all to myself. Lol. Lastly, a special thanks to any and everyone who has purchased nails, shared a post, or even spoke kind words about my business. It is all beyond appreciated!
